International Economic Association Membership

The International Economic Association is always keen to have new members in its federation.

The association wishing to be affiliated should send a formal application and forward information about its activity, statutes, name of its officers, list of its members…

The IEA Executive Committee will require to be assured about two things:

Full member:

• That the association should be representative of the community of the economists of the country applying for membership, i.e. the most representative group of economists of the country.
• That membership in the association is opened to all qualified economists.

Associate member:

Any economic association and/or research institution- whether their themes are general or specialised- can apply as an associate member.

All applications for membership have to be approved by the IEA Executive Committee.
